Nadia’s story

Nadia’s passions lit her life and the lives of everyone around her. Growing up in Belmont, MA, Nadia loved dogs and the outdoors and she developed a love for exploring independently. In small classrooms/environments at the Winsor School and in collaborative groups at the New England Conservatory of Music, Nadia developed acute listening skills and her distinctive, vocal expression of ideas.
Nadia’s wonderful experiences at Carleton College, with its supportive faculty and incredible academic offerings, helped her take her love for words and complex ideas into the publishing world in New York City. Taking that love one step further, Nadia completed her Master’s in Library and Information Science at the University of Michigan.

Nadia’s talent and impeccable attention to detail brought her to the world-renowned Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington DC. As a rare materials cataloger, she helped safeguard and document the precious manuscripts in the Library’s care.
Determined, opinionated, and vocal, she loved to make a point and change someone’s point of view. Nadia made things happen. A gifted musician in cello, piano, and voice, she played with the College Light Opera, the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra, and the DC Chamber Music Orchestra.
Vivid, funny, and energetic, Nadia traveled the world, devoted herself to friends and family, and made herself an unforgettable fixture in the hearts and minds of everyone who knew her.

And did you get what
you wanted from this life, even so?
I did.
And what did you want?
To call myself beloved, to feel myself
beloved on the earth.
